This is the best custom $1800 gaming pc you can build yourself in 2024! This $1800 gaming pc is more than capable of running nearly any pc game you'd like at 4K (3840x2160) resolution anywhere from 60-240fps depending on the game. Performance should not be a concern if you decide to build this $1800 gaming pc.
You can't have an expensive $1800 gaming pc like this unless you go with the best gaming cpu on the market, which is the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. Even if it is an 8 core 16 thread CPU, according to benchmarks, it's still the fastest gaming cpu to buy for a high end gaming pc like this. Choosing a CPU with more than 8 cores won't add any additional gaming performance to this $1800 gaming pc.
Next up for the motherboard, a well equipped B650 motherboard with capable VRMs is advised for this $1800 gaming pc. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D isn't too power hungry of a CPU so it doesn't need too crazy of a motherboard to take full advantage of it. Fortunately, the chosen B650 ATX motherboard satisfies that requirement.
Next, even for this $1800 gaming pc, you do not need to go any higher than 32GB of DDR5 memory for even an overkill gaming pc like this. 64GB is unnecessary and wont' add anymore FPS over 32GB of RAM. What will deliver high framerate for this $1800 gaming pc is making sure the memory is clocked at 6000mhz or higher with a CAS latency of 32 or lower.
A 2TB PCI Gen 4.0 M.2 ssd is recommended for storage in this $1800 gaming pc, even if it isn't Gen 5.0, as 2TB should be enough for the majority of your pc games library on top of your windows install and frequently used windows programs.
Finally, for the graphics card, a Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070 Ti Super would be a smart choice for this $1800 gaming pc. If you're spending this much on a gaming PC, then the Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070 Ti Super offers a decent blend of hardware, performance, and ray tracing for it's price, which can't be said for many other Nvidia GPUs out there. It's one of three Nvidia graphics cards which I can firmly recommend on PCbuilds.gg.
All you'd need to power this $1800 gaming pc would be a standard 80+ gold 850W PSU like the one linked in the build list.
Then for the PC case for this pc, the chosen ATX mid tower pc case does a fine job satisfying the looks for this PC while delivering on airflow to the graphics card and cpu.
A 3840x2160 or ultrawide high refresh rate monitor is also recommended for thsi PC, like the one linked in the $1800 gaming pc part list.
